Come in from the cold and enjoy a day at the Morris Museum! Wander throughout the galleries and then enjoy a performance by the Universal African Drum & Dance Ensemble in the Bickford Theatre (show times are 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.). Featuring unique drum beats, traditional African costumes and acrobatics, this spectacular celebrates Kwanzaa, the annual festival of family, community, culture and peace.
Use your creativity and imagination in an art workshop to make Kwanzaa candles using craft materials. Food will be available to purchase.

Monday, January 19
Honor Martin Luther King Jr. by creating a unity wreath to hang in your home. Books and information on Martin Luther King Jr. will be available.
Monday, February 16
1 – 2 p.m.
Families and children are invited to join Pam Kane, co-director of the Brightest Star School of Performing Arts to learn patriot songs (including Abraham Lincoln’s favorite song!) and 18th century country dances. No prior singing or dancing experience required – just a willingness to have fun!
Tuesday, February 17
Come celebrate President Lincoln’s 200th birthday this President’s Day by creating an Abraham Lincoln mask and hat. Literature on Abraham Lincoln will be available.
